Bernard's career as an artist began in the late 1980's. The marks of graffiti that he left on trains and concrete walls quickly turned from vandalism into his own unique art form; an art form that would eventually create who he is today.
Bernard began airbrushing pants and jackets for friends and relatives.
In the years to follow, through school and much practice, he began to cultivate his creative gifts. In 2001, NARDESIGNS was launched. This is his clothing line which is currently in its seventh year of production. NARDESIGNS has showcased in several fashion shows and has been sold in local retail stores.
Though the graffiti style of the late 80's had a huge impact on his creativity, it was not the only influencing factor.
Great inspiration also came from Egyptian art as well as Biblical art. Renaissance artists such as Rembrandt, Michael Angelo, and Divinci have also helped to mold his art form.
Bernard's goal is to continue growing as an artist while expanding his clothing line. It is also his desire to hand off knowledge to young up and coming artists. His creativity has jumped from the pages of his notebook into reality. Now he would like to help others bring their ideas to life.
